Press Release Regarding The Terrorist Attack At Mogadishu Airport

We have learnt with sorrow that more than 10 people lost their lives and many others were injured as a result of an attack perpetrated with two bomb-laden vehicles today (2 January 2017) at noon time at the checkpoint of the Mogadishu Airport in Somalia.
We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack, which has been perpetrated at a time when significant steps are being taken towards establishing peace and stability in Somalia.
We wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
As it has been the case so far, Turkey will resolutely continue to provide support to the friendly and brotherly people and Government of Somalia in its fight against terrorism.
